October 16, 2025 | Women's Cross Country
The Trojans add newcomer Sydney Knodel to the lineup
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Following a seventh-place team finish at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite, the USC cross country team will travel to UC Riverside this Saturday to compete in the Highlander Invitational women's 6K.
The Trojans will field a familiar lineup, with Isabella Duarte, Jacqueline Duarte, Holli Prest, Haley Spoden and Paige Unger all returning to the course. They are joined by newcomer Sydney Knodel, making her Trojan debut.
The Women of Troy's successful outing at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite resulted in all five athletes placing in the top 100 out of 222 competitors. Holly Prest led the pack, finishing in 28th place with a time of 22:40.0. Following closely behind were Jacqueline Duarte and Haley Spoden, finishing in 31st and 33rd place. Next came Isabella Duarte with a strong final push, boosting her to 43rd place. Finally, Paige Unger closed out the impressive race for the team, taking 92nd place, with a time of 24:10.0.
The team returns to the UC Riverside Agricultural Operations Course after competing in the UC Riverside Invitational earlier this season. During the women's 6K, all five Trojans achieved personal-best times; they will look to build on that success on the same course this weekend.
The women's 6k is set for an 8:40 a.m. start on Saturday, October 18 at the UC Riverside Agricultural Operations Course. Fans can catch live results here and follow along on social media @usc_track_field on Instagram and X.
