
USC Cross Country Set for Second Big Ten Championships

The Trojans will compete in their first postseason meet under new coach Brenda Martinez
EAST LANSING, Mich. -Â After a remarkable performance at the John Elders Titan Invite, the Women of Troy head to Michigan to compete in the Big Ten Championships on Friday morning.Â
The Trojans look to build on their recent success, with Sydney Knodel, Jacqueline Duarte, Isabella Duarte, Haley Spoden and Paige Unger all expected to return to the course.Â
At last week's race, held at Cal State Fullerton, three Trojans finished in the top ten out of 62 competitors. In just her second collegiate outing, Sydney Knodel took second place with a time of 21:36.10. Trailing just behind was Jacqueline Duarte, who secured third place in 21:53.40. Rounding out the top ten for USC was Haley Spoden, crossing the finish line in 22:39.50.Â
Not far behind, Isabella Duarte took 17th place, clocking 23:09.20. Closing out the race for the Trojans was Lucia Rabolli, who took 31st place to secure a second place team finish for USC.Â
The Trojans will return for their second Big Ten Championships and their first under Coach Brenda Martinez. This is also the first collegiate postseason meet for newcomers Sydney Knodel and Paige Unger.
The women's 6K is set for 8:35 a.m. PT this Friday, October 31 at the Forest Akers East Golf Course with live results available here. The meet will be streamed live on Big Ten Network.Â
