USC Sweeps Second Day of Competition at Trojan Diving Invitational

USC’s Laurent Gosselin-Paradis wins platform competition while Kate Miller claims 3-meter event.
LOS ANGELES - USC continued to dominate during day two of the Trojan Diving Invitational, sweeping both events for the second consecutive day. Senior Laurent Gosselin-Paradis captured the men's platform competition, while freshman Kate Miller won the women's 3-meter event.
Gosselin-Paradis, who was runner-up on 3-meter yesterday, came out on top today as the senior tallied 775.70 points to claim the tower event. During prelims, the Trojan tallied 369.10 points to carry the top spot heading into finals. USC swept the final, as Gosselin-Paradis, Robert Gref (723.55) and Luc Goertzen (688.10) finished 1-2-3, respectively.
Kate Miller captured the women's 3-meter competition, tallying 604.05 points, including 281.45 from prelims. With the win, Miller swept both springboard events at the invitational.
Trojan newcomer Jenna Jagielski was third overall with 577.05 points.
The Trojans also swept both the men's and women's team events on Friday afternoon.
Action continues tomorrow at 11 a.m. with men's 1-meter and women's platform.
