USC’s Annabel Aron, Gerli Endrekson and Louise Gyssels earn national recognition.
LOS ANGELES — As the USC women's rowing team gets set to begin its spring competition, three Trojans — Annabel Aron, Gerli Endrekson and Louise Gyssels — have been named to the 2025 For Stars Network Spring Watch List.
The Trojan trio were selected among rowers and coxswains from 11 Division I conferences and are three of 21 representatives out of the Big Ten Conference.
Aron is in her fourth year of competition with the Trojans. She has competed in 42 total regattas, and last season she placed first in V8+ at the Crosstown Tri-Meet. Endrekson and Gyssels are both first-year rowers at USC, and all three are international student-athletes, with Aron and Endrekson coming to USC from Estonia and Gyssels from Belgium.
The full FSN Watch List represented 93 Division I teams, with a total of 163 student-athletes honored as rowers and coxswains "on the rise" in their programs.
These athletes have demonstrated and qualified their placement on this watch list through their race results, erg times, improvement within their team, positive trajectory in talent and skill since last season and this past fall semester, research of the program and athlete over a one year period, and coach recommendations on their respective teams in Division i women's rowing.
USC opens its spring season with a rivalry dual against UCLA at the Port of Los Angeles on Saturday, March 8.
