HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Trojans ended the regular season with one of the most prolific scoring attacks of the season, scoring 13 in the first half and eight in the second. USC matched its season high for points, as they acquired a running clock at 2:59 in the second quarter – up 12-2. That quick string of success was built up to, as the Trojans started the game on a 9-0 run. By the end of the second, USC had posted the second-most goals in the first half this season, as it generated 13 goals to start. Ten different Trojans combined to earn that score, as Barron and Dora were the only repeat scorers in the first half.
- With a massive lead heading into the second half - 13-2 – the Trojans were still on the prowl and struck hard in the third with a 6-0 third period. During that quarter, USC outshot the Ducks 9-1 and forced six turnovers. The Trojans would get the opportunity to play with the lineup in the fourth as they were up 19-2. Even with the second stringers getting their chances, USC outscored Oregon 2-1, ending the game 21-3.
