USC’s Peter Makk Named ITA All-American

LOS ANGELES – USC men's tennis senior Peter Makk earned ITA All-American status after rounding out the season as the No. 18 player in the ITA men's tennis rankings on Wednesday, May 21.
The ITA rankings feature 125-ranked singles players, with the top 20 receiving All-American status from the organization at the end of the season.
This is USC's 212th All-American honor in program history - most in the country.
The senior has had a dominant season. He posted a 7-2 Big Ten record from the No. 1 court in singles and a 14-7 overall singles record. Makk was named unanimously to the Big Ten first team, earned two Player of the Week nods this season and accumulated nine ranked wins (5-2 against ranked opponents in conference play).
USC wrapped up its season in the NCAA Super Regionals as it fell to UCLA in Westwood, after beating No. 6-seeded San Diego on its home court in the NCAA Second Round. The Trojans ended their season 16-11 and finished their first season in the Big Ten at 8-5 in conference play.
