Trojans shine in classroom and on the track
USC's Samirah Moody, Lauren Reed and Nonah Waldron were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team today (June 24).
The senior sprinter Moody from Randolph, Mass. became a two-time NCAA champion en route to leading the Trojan women's team to a second-place finish at the 2025 NCAA Championships. Moody won the NCAA 100m dash title on June 13, after running leadoff on the Trojans NCAA champion 4x100m relay earlier in the day. Moody earned her undergraduate degree in Communication and a Master's in Criminal Justice. She ranks tied for second on USC's all-time 100m list, ninth on the 200m list, is the school 60m dash record holder and ran on the second-fastest 4x100m relay in school history.
Reed, a junior from Carson, Calif., qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in the triple jump. She jumped a career-best 42-9 (13.03m) at the West Preliminary Rounds this season, just outside of the USC top 10 in the event. Reed is majoring in Real Estate Development.

She also ranks ninth on the Trojans' all-time 60m hurdles list. Waldron placed third in the 100m hurdles at the 2025 Big Ten Championships. She is a Business major at USC.
