2025 USC Soccer Schedule Announced
June 05, 2025 | Women's Soccer
LOS ANGELES – The defending Big Ten Champion USC women's soccer team announced its 2025 schedule on Thursday (June 5) as the program begins its second season in the conference by opening the brand-new Rawlinson Stadium on campus.
The Trojans won the Big Ten title in their first season as a member of the league in 2024, all while playing 15 miles south of the University Park campus at Dignity Health Sports Park while construction on Rawlinson Stadium was ongoing. USC will celebrate the grand opening of its new stadium, which sits on the same site as the old McAlister Field, on Aug. 17 against California Baptist.
NONCONFERENCE SCHEDULE
After spending the entirety of its nonconference schedule on the road in 2024, USC will play its entire nonconference schedule at home in 2025. USC opens the regular season against California Baptist on Aug. 17 and will play a total of five non-league games.
After the Aug. 17 grand opening of Rawlinson Stadium, the Trojans will host both Pepperdine (Aug. 21) and New Mexico State (Aug. 24) the following week. USC then has single games the next two weeks, hosting Portland on Aug. 28 and then culminating its nonconference schedule against long-time rivals Stanford on Sept. 4.
BIG TEN HOME GAMES
Five of USC's 11 conference matches will be at home, with the Trojans' Big Ten opener coming on Sept. 11 at Rawlinson Stadium against Washington. Maryland (Sept. 25) and Rutgers (Sept. 28) come to Los Angeles the third week of the Big Ten season and then Nebraska (Oct. 16) and Iowa (Oct. 19) will visit Southern California the penultimate week of the conference season.
BIG TEN ROAD GAMES
USC's six Big Ten road games will begin at Michigan (Sept. 18) and Michigan State (Sept. 21), and then after a week at home, the Trojans will head to Oregon on Oct. 5, followed by Minnesota (Oct. 9) and Wisconsin (Oct. 12). USC will close the regular season on the road against crosstown rivals UCLA on Oct. 26.
STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE
The Trojans again play one of the most challenging schedules in the country, with 10 of USC's 16 opponents making last year's NCAA Tournament, seven winning at least one game in the tournament and one (Stanford) making the College Cup last year.
Six of USC's opponents finished least year ranked in the Top 25 of the Coaches' Poll: No. 4 Stanford, No. 12 Iowa, No. 14 Michigan State, No. 17 Minnesota, No. 18 UCLA, No. 19 Wisconsin.
TV SELECTIONS
The Big Ten Network will announce its broadcast schedule for women's soccer later this summer, with game times for USC's conference schedule set to be announced at that time as well. All of USC's home games that are not nationally televised, will be broadcast on BTN+.
RAWLINSON STADIUM
USC announced its plans to build Rawlinson Stadium in June of 2023, awarding its women's soccer and lacrosse programs with a state-of-the-art home stadium. Rawlinson Stadium replaced and expanded upon the previous site of play for the teams: Soni McAlister Field at 30th and Hoover streets just north of the University Park Campus. The $38 million project broke ground soon after and is nearing completion heading into the summer.
The stadium will have 2,200 fixed seats, with the ability to expand to a capacity of 2,500 on game days. The soccer and lacrosse teams will have separate locker rooms at the stadium, and the programs will have access to team meeting areas, a sports medicine space, a nutrition fueling bar, and a locker room and meeting spaces for coaches. Rawlinson Stadium will also feature a natural grass playing surface, field lights, an LED board, a stadium-wide audio system and a brand new press box.
