August 25, 2025 | Women's Water Polo
Lee joins head coach Casey Moon’s staff alongside fellow assistant Stephen Loomis.
USC women's water polo head coach Casey Moon has brought in another talented member of his staff with the addition of Christopher Lee as an assistant coach for the Women of Troy.
"We are so lucky and grateful to add such a quality coach in Chris Lee to the staff and our USC women's water polo family," Moon said. "He's an established coach with a wealth of knowledge, well versed collegiately and internationally, and his experience will immediately impact the development of our team. Fight On, Chris!"
Lee comes to USC directly from time spent working with USA Water Polo, and also boasts 14 years of collegiate coaching experience with teams that amassed eight NCAA appearances. Most recently, Lee helped Pomona-Pitzer win the 2023 Division III National Championship. He also is familiar with the MPSF landscape, having served as an assistant coach at Cal and UCLA during his tenure. At the college club level, Lee helmed Penn's men's and women's club teams, helping his alma mater make a combined five National Collegiate Club Championship appearances.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Lee has played key roles with the U.S. women's national teams on staff for four Olympic Games and numerous World Aquatics Championships and Pan American Games. In the coaching realm, Lee has been active on deck for U.S. women's Development, Cadet and ODP Zone teams.
"I want to thank Casey and Stephen for welcoming me to USC," Lee said. "I'm grateful for the opportunity to coach with them and to work with the incredible student-athletes here. I look forward to being a part of the rich history and tradition of USC water polo."
Lee joins a USC women's program that has reached 21 consecutive NCAA Tournaments, most recently finishing as national runner-up in 2025 under the direction of head coach Moon. Lee will serve as one of Moon's two assistants, alongside Stephen Loomis, who enters his third season on deck for the Women of Troy.
