Four Trojans also earned preseason nods from these two outlets.
LOS ANGELES – USC Women's Golf is starting the new year off strong as they finished ranked fourth in the Golfweek Preseason Rankings and the Golf Channel Preseason Rankings, both announced this week. Along with that, four members of the team earned preseason recognition from the two outlets, including All-American nods for Jasmine Koo and Catherine Park.
The Women of Troy made it all the way to the NCAA Quarterfinals before falling to Florida State last season. USC also finished the year with four first-place finishes along with a wain over UCLA in the Battle of LA. With most of last year's lineup returning, including two All-Americans in Jasmine Koo and Catherine Park, the Trojans are ready to go even farther than they did last season as they head into their eighth season under Head Coach Justin Silverstein.
Koo, the reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Year, secured Preseason First Team All-America status from both Golfweek and the Golf Channel. The WGCA and Golfweek First Team All-American landed on the ANNIKA Award Postseason Watch List last season. Her work on the course also earned her a spot on the All-Big Ten First Team, as she won four individual titles, including three in a row at the beginning of the season, while leading the Women of Troy to four team titles. She finished the season ranked ninth in the NCAA Division I Individual Rankings.
Park also racked up the preseason awards, earning Golfweek's and the Golf Channel's Preseason Second Team All-American honors. Last year, she garnered WGCA and Golfweek Second Team All-America honors. The All-Big Ten First Team honoree also finished tied for fifth at the NCAA Championships, shooting six-under-par for the tournament. During the season, Park secured her fourth career victory at the Leadership and Golf Invitational and finished in second place on four other occasions. At the end of the season, Park ranked 14th in the NCAA Division I Individual Rankings
Elise Lee is also earning recognition from the Golf Channel as she lands on the Preseason All-America Honorable Mention list. Lee came to the Trojans from Northwestern, where she became an NCAA Champion with the Wildcats. The All-Big Ten Second Team honoree maintained a 73.38 scoring average throughout the year and posted five Top 25 finishes, including a 17th-place finish at the NCAA Norman Regional. She also showed up for her team in the NCAA Tournament, going 2-1 in match play with wins in the quarter and semifinals.
The last Trojan earning recognition from the Golf Channel is incoming freshman Sarah Hammett, who landed on the All-Freshman Second Team. She finished in the Top Five in three straight tournaments, including second-place finishes at the Australian Women's Amateur Championship and the Greg Norman Junior Masters. She also grabbed a second-place finish at the Katherine Kirk Classic earlier in the year.
The Trojans will kick off the 2025-26 season on Sept. 7 as they compete at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in Minneapolis.
