The Trojans swept the women's 400m hurdles while winning gold in two other events.
EUGENE, Ore. – USC Track and Field had a great showing at the 2025 Toyota USA Track and Field Outdoor and Para National Championships held in Eugene, Oregon. During the four-day meet, three current and former Trojans came home with the gold while four others made it to the podium.
The highlight of the championships was in the women's 400m hurdles as the Trojans swept the event. Dalilah Muhammad came out with gold as she ran a time of 52.65 seconds. Following up very closely behind her with a time of 52.89 was Anna Cockrell, who ran her best time of the season to earn the silver medal in this event. This was followed up by Jasmine Jones, who finished with a time of 53.23 seconds.
USC alumnus Rai Benjamin also found success in the 400m hurdles as he came home with the gold, crossing the finish line with a time of 46.89 seconds. This was almost two seconds faster than his competitor who earned silver.
Current USC student-athlete Ezra Frech also had a great showing as he brought home gold in the long jump, going for 6.76 meters to qualify for the World Championships.
One other athlete found the podium at the National Championships, and that was Allie Jones. She finished with 6,164 points across her seven events, which was good enough to finish in third overall.
This group of Trojans will now turn their attention to the World Athletics Championships, which will take place in Tokyo from Sept. 13-21.
