THIS YEAR:
Freshman Ezra Frech is in his first season as a jumper on the USC track and field team. He is a two-time Paralympian who won a gold medal in the T63 high jump and T63 100m dash at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, France. The T63 designation is the classification for athletes with a single-leg amputation above the knee.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Frech is a 2023 graduate of the Brentwood School in Los Angeles. He is the T63 world record-holder in the high jump with a clearance of 6-5.50 (1.97m). He won two gold medals at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, France, winning the 100m dash with a personal-best time of 12.06 and then winning the T63 high jump with a Paralympics record clearance of 6-4.25 (1.94m). He also placed fifth in the long jump in Paris with a best leap of 21-7.25 (6.58m). In 2019 at the World Para Athletics Junior Championships, his first international competition, he won a gold medal in the high and bronze medals in the long jump and 100m. At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, he placed fifth in the high jump and eighth in the long jump. He also won a gold medal at the 2023 Para Athletic World Championships in the high jump. His long jump PR is 23-1.50 (7.05m). Ezra is the inaugural recipient of the Swim With Mike Foundation’s Amir Ekbatani Paralympic Scholarship, awarded to a Paralympian attending USC or UCLA.

Ezra was born on May 11, 2005 in Los Angeles, Calif…His parents are Clayton and Bahar Frech…The Frech family and friends founded Angel City Sports to provide free, year-round access to sport training, equipment, and competitive opportunities for kids and adults with physical disabilities…Angel City Sports hosts one of the largest adaptive sporting events in the country, the Angel City Games, as well as events for veterans, first responders, and youth…Frech is a Business of Cinematic Arts major at USC.
