THIS YEAR: Senior Kennie Arriola is in his fourth season as a distance runner on the USC track and field team.
2024: Arriola competed in five outdoor meets during the season. He ran his 800m personal best of 1:54.05 to place 14th at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 19. He placed third with a time of 3:56.53 in the 1500m at the Trojan Invitational on March 23. He competed in one indoor meet, running a 4:18.55 in the one-mile race at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Meet on March 24.
HIGH SCHOOL: Arriola is a 2021 graduate of JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. He had PRs of 1:57.33 in the 800m and 4:13 in the 1600m races.
PERSONAL Kennie was born on January 1, 2003…His parents are Ingrid and Kennie Arriola and he has one brother, Anthony…His hobbies include golfing, cycling and fishing…His favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs…He lists his sports hero as Hicham El Guerrouj because it was inspiring to see him overcome failure and adversity to win gold at the 2004 Athens Games…Someday he would like to travel to Iceland…He is a Mechanical Engineering major at USC.

He also ran a career-best 3:55.92 in the 1500m race at the Aztec Invitational on March 25, third among Trojan runners during the 2023 season.
