
Nine USC Track and Field Alums Awarded USATF Foundation Grants

Trojans appeared on the list of 2025 Elite Athlete Development grant winners and Stephen A. Schwarzman award winners
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The USA Track & Field Foundation announced the 2025 Elite Athlete Development grant winners and the 2025 class of Stephen A. Schwarzman award winners on Wednesday. Four USC alums made the list of Elite Athlete Development honorees along with another five Trojans recognized as Stephen A. Schwarzman award winners.
The 2025 Elite Athlete Development Grant targets young athletes pursuing a professional career. Grants are awarded through a competitive selection process by the USATF Foundation Elite Grant Committee.
Johnny Brackins Jr., Allie Jones, Bailey Lear and Max Thomas were the Trojans named among 60 athletes to receive the Elite Athlete Development grant. This year, USATF awarded a total of $750,000 towards this specific grant.
The Stephen A. Schwarzman Grant is the highest support offered by USATF with an emphasis on helping athletes through the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan and through to the 2028 Olympic Games. The award honors athletes for their commitment to Team USA.
The list of Stephen A. Schwarzman award winners includes USC alums Anna Cockrell, Jasmine Jones, Dalilah Muhammad, TeeTee Terry and Samirah Moody. In total, $3.65 million is dispersed among one hundred athletes on the list to cover the expenses of being a professional athlete at the highest level.
