No. 4 USC Women's Golf Sits In Third After Round One of ANNIKA Intercollegiate

Elise Lee is leading the way for the Women of Troy as she is currently tied for third.
MINNEAPOLIS – No. 4 USC Women's Golf wrapped up the first day of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at the Royal Golf Club on Monday, Sept. 8. Following the first round of play, the Women of Troy sit in third as a team while sophomore Elise Lee is tied for third.
Lee had a great performance in her first showing in the Cardinal and Gold. She contributed a birdie in two of her first three holes and continued on a steady pace throughout the remainder of the day. She finished the first round tied for third, going two-under-par. She is just three strokes behind the golfer in first place.
Kylie Chong finished the day tied for sixth after going one under par in Round One. She had the most birdies for the Trojans, finishing with five on the day. She is sitting one stroke behind Lee on the leaderboard heading into the second round.
The other two whose scores counted for the Trojans today were Catherine Park and Jasmine Koo. Park grabbed the only USC eagle of the day on hole 18. She finished the day going three-above-par. Koo was just one stroke behind, grabbing birdies on the third and 18th holes. With her performance, she concluded Round One by going four over par.
The Trojans held on to second place for most of the day until the University of South Carolina squeezed past them as they sit in third heading into Round Two. After today's performance, USC is +4 as a team and just one stroke out of second place.
