USC's Jazzy Davidson Claims Sixth Big Ten Freshman of the Week Honor

Freshman earns third consecutive weekly honor after 24-point performance vs. Indiana.
ROSEMONT, Ill. -Â USC freshman guard Jazzy Davidson has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the third consecutive week and the sixth time this season, the conference announced Monday, Feb. 16.Â
Davidson powered USC to the conference victory over Indiana on Thursday with a team-high 24 points, adding six rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks while playing all 40 minutes. She also converted a career-high eight free throws, delivering in key moments to help secure the win. Including the six points generated off her three assists, Davidson accounted for 30 of USC's 79 points in the victory.
The performance marked Davidson's 24th double-figure scoring game of the season and her 22nd consecutive game reaching double figures. Her 24 points also represented her 10th 20-point outing of the year, further highlighting the consistency of her freshman campaign.
Davidson continues to pace the Trojans across the stat sheet, leading USC in points per game (17.2), rebounds per game (6.3), assists per game (4.4), steals per game (1.9) and blocks per game (2.2). She also tops the team in minutes played (34:20), free throws made per game (2.4), free throw attempts per game (3.1), field goals made per game (6.6) and field goal attempts per game (16.7).
With her sixth weekly honor of the season, and third straight, Davidson continues to cement her place as one of the conference's premier freshmen and a driving force behind USC's recent success.
