No. 3 USC Beach Volleyball Takes Down No. 13 FAU, No, 6 TCU

The Women of Troy took down the Owls and the Frogs at the Florida Atlantic Beach Invitational.
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – No. 3 USC Beach Volleyball (17-3) wrapped up the Florida Atlantic Beach Invitational today, March 15, as they took down No. 13 Florida Atlantic and No. 6 TCU. With today's wins, the Women of Troy finished the tournament with a 3-1 record and are now 17-3 on the season.

Earning the first point for the Trojans were Ashley Pater and Kennedy Coakley. They secured a decisive win over Florida Atlantic's Denisse Morgenstern and Shantel Starling, taking the match in straight sets with scores of 21-8 and 21-11.
No. 5 Kyra Zaengle and Calinda Kok were the next to finish, edging out Cameron Knifton and Allison Spittal from Florida Atlantic. After splitting the first two sets, 21-18, 15-21, USC won with a narrow 16-14 win in the deciding third set.
USC added another point in the third spot when Alana Embry and Quincy Stephens overcame Klaire VanDeusen and Mia Scanlon. The pair took the first set 21-14, dropped the second 17-21, then rallied to win the match 15-13 in the third set.
The 2s concluded with Zoey Henson and Sarah Wood defeating Olivia Strandberg and Ava Koehl in straight sets, 21-19, 21-12. Bella Satterwhite and Kerry Keefe could not finish their match due to the weather.

Bella Satterwhite and Kerry Keefe did not disappoint for the Women of Troy as they clinched the dual with a three-set victory over Hannah Taylor and Melina Mol of TCU. Despite dropping the first set 18-21, they rallied to take the second 21-19 and secured the final set 15-13.
