LOS ANGELES – The United States Basketball Writer's Association announced it's All-America teams on Tuesday morning, with freshman Jazzy Davidson earning honorable mention accolades following an already decorated first-year campaign. The Clackamas, Oregon, native was the lone freshman to earn USBWA All-America honors.
Davidson's national recognition comes on the heels of one of the most complete seasons in the country. The freshman is the only Division I player to lead her team in points per game (18.0), rebounds per game (6.2), assists per game (4.4), blocks per game (2.2) and steals per game (2.0).
A force on both ends of the floor, Davidson is the nation's only player averaging at least two blocks and two steals per game. She ranks second in the Big Ten and 20th nationally in blocks per game (2.00) while also sitting second in the conference with 60 total blocks.
Earlier this postseason, Davidson was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year while also earning First-Team All-Big Ten, Big Ten All-Defensive Team and Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors. She was additionally recognized as the National Freshman of the Year by The Athletic.
