USC dominates doubles and rolls through singles to secure a decisive home victory over the Cornhuskers.
LOS ANGELES -Â Â USC men's tennis delivered a commanding performance at Marks Tennis Stadium on Friday, sweeping Nebraska 4-0 behind a strong showing in both doubles and singles play.
The Trojans wasted no time taking control by securing the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. Connor Church and Pablo Robledo Hoyos set the tone with a decisive 6-1 victory, followed by Max Exsted and Nathan Trouve clinching the point with a 6-2 win. With momentum firmly in hand, USC carried that energy into singles competition.
USC dominated across the singles courts, claiming three straight-set victories to seal the sweep. Niels Hoffman struck first with a 6-2, 6-2 win on court six, and Exsted followed with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at the No. 2 position. Andrin Casanova clinched the match for the Trojans with a 6-1, 6-3 victory on court three, securing USC's 4-0 win while several other matches went unfinished.
With the win, USC improves to 11-4 overall and 3-1 in Big Ten Conference play.Â
