ROSEMONT, Ill. – USC lacrosse sophomore defender Sophie Gangemi (Charlottesville, Va./St. Anne's-Belfield School) and redshirt junior midfielder Hollis Mulry (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan HS) were each named to the Big Ten All-Conference second team, the conference announced on Tuesday, April 21.
Â
Midfielder Sydney Stewart (San Diego, Calif./Torrey Pines HS) was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team and senior defender Asjia Roberson (Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union HS) was selected as USC's Sportsmanship honoree.
Â
Each student-athlete's selection is a first-career honor. Gangemi and Mulry are USC's third and fourth All-Big Ten second-team players and follow Maddie Dora and Alexis Niblockwho were each selected in 2025. Stewart is the second Trojan to land on the Big Ten's All-Freshman Team and follows Kaylee Fravert. Last year, Hannah Barron was named the Trojans' Sportsmanship honoree.
Â

She also secured a draw control and scored a goal on the only shot she took this season.
Â

Â
During the nomination process, each team was given the opportunity to select one player who embodies the core value of sportsmanship. USC selected the four-year veteran Roberson who started all 17 games on the Trojans' defensive line. She totaled 18 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers and had a season-best four ground balls at UC Davis (Feb. 20) and a season-high three caused turnovers in a big home win against Brown (Feb. 15).
Â
The Trojans (8-9 overall, 1-7 Big Ten) finished the regular season eighth in the Big Ten standings and did not advance to the conference tournament. USC earned four home wins in the new Rawlinson Stadium including a 9-8 victory over a 24th-ranked Brown (Feb. 15). The Trojans also collected four wins on the road, which included a 15-10 decision at Oregon to conclude the season.
