Women's Water Polo Sweeps MPSF Weekly Awards

The Women of Troy took both weekly awards following a 13-11 victory over No. 3 UCLA. Emily Ausmus was named the MPSF/Delfina Player of the Week and Natalia Blazevic collected Newcomer of the Week honors.

Emily Ausmus led the Trojan offense to a win over No. 3 UCLA. The win helped USC to finish the regular season undefeated in MPSF play, claim the top seed in the conference tournament and extend the Trojans' win streak to 11 games. Ausmus went 5-for-6 on the day and added an assist. She also added one field block and two key sprint wins in the victory over the crosstown rival.

Natalia Blazevic provided key plays on both offense and defense. Blazevic scored one of the Trojans' six goals in a crucial fourth quarter along with a drawn exclusion for a power play opportunity. The freshman added two of USC's 11 field blocks as the Women of Troy claimed the win.
