Efe Naipoglu Named MPSF Player of the Week

This is the first Player of the Week honor of Naipoglu's career.
LOS ANGELES - The No. 2 USC men's water polo team extended its win streak to six straight games to open the 2026 season. The Trojans collected two wins over top-10 opponents. Efe Naipoglu had a steller weekend to help lead the USC offense and collect his first career MPSF Player of the Week honors.
The sophomore driver racked up five goals on six shots in the win over #7 Long Beach State. Naipoglu added four assists to help contribute to nine of USC's 17 goals. Naipoglu tacked on three steals on defense to round out the game. Just two days later against #9 Pepperdine, Naipoglu scored twice and tallied three assists. To finish out the weekend, Naipoglu registered two drawn exclusions, two sprint wins, one steal and one field block against the Waves.
