HIGH SCHOOL: Finello was a California state champion as a 2018 senior at View Point High in Calabasas, winning the 100y free in 44.18 and taking third in the 50y free (20.28). Finello, the 2018 L.A. Daily News All-Area Swimmer of the Year, was a two-time winner at the CIF Southern Section Division 3 Championships, winning the 50y (20.43) and 100y free (45.09) … He was a state finalist as a 2017 junior, taking third in the 50y free (20.60). He was second in both the 50y (20.84) and 100y free (46.24) at the 2017 CIF Southern Section meet and was second and third, respectively, in 2016.
Personal: Born January 26, 2000, Thomas is the son of Marli Finello and is studying economics.
FINELLO'S PERSONAL RECORDS:
- At the USC Invitational, Finello was 12th in the 50y free (20.33) and 18th in the 100y fly (50.39)

Finello posted a career best 50y free time of 19.61 at the 2022 Pac-12 Championships. Also posted a 43.62 in the 100y free.
2021: Did not compete for USC during the 2020-21 season – COVID related.
2020:
- Finello competed in three events at 2020 Pac-12 Championships, finishing 21st in the 100y fly (48.57) , 23rd in the 50y free (20.15) and 35th in the 100y free (44.64)
- At the Art Adamson Invite, Finello was fourth in the 50y free (19.93), earning an NCAA B-cut, was seventh in the 100y free with a season best 44.13 and finished 15th in the 100y fly (49.03).
2019:
- Finello competed in three events as a freshman at the 2019 Pac-12 Championships, finishing 31st in the 100y free (44.88), 33rd in the 50y free (20.46) and 36th in the 200y free (1:41.49)
- His best finish at the Texas Invitational was a 23rd in the 100y free (45.43) after a 44.83 in prelims. He was also 26th in the 50y free (20.56).
