THIS SEASON: Kyle McKenney enters his second season of competition at USC.
2021 SEASON:
• Made USC debut on Sept. 12 vs Occidental
• Played in the fourth period vs. OXY, making six saves with no goals against
2020 SEASON AT PEPPERDINE:
• Saw no action as a senior
• Earned GCC All-Academic honors
2019 SEASON AT PEPPERDINE:
• Led Pepperdine’s goalies with 16 appearances as a junior
• Made 110 saves and had a 9.43 goals-against average
• Recorded 13 saves vs. UC Santa Barbara on Sept. 19
• Earned GCC All-Academic honors
2018 SEASON AT PEPPERDINE:
• Started seven of his 12 games as a sophomore at Pepperdine
• Totaled 95 saves while posting a 10.64 goals-against average
• Had 15 saves against Pacific (10/13).
2017 SEASON AT PEPPERDINE:
• Saw no action as a true freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: McKenney is a 2017 graduate from Buchanan High in Clovis... Had 835 saves and 99 steals in his career with a 6.4 goals-against average... Named CIF Central Section MVP, Fresno Bee Player of the Year, Tri-River Athletic Conference Player of the Year and team MVP as a senior... Also named to the all-league first team and the all-valley first team.... Played for Clovis Water Polo Club, Royal Water Polo Academy and L.A. Athletic Club.
PERSONAL: McKenney is pursing a master’s in urban planning at USC after earning a degree in business administration at Pepperdine... Parents are Troy and Debra... Has two sisters, Coryne and Kelsey... Lists Buster Posey as his favorite athlete... Born March 23, 1999.
