THIS SEASON: Hockenbury enters his second season at USC.
2017: Hockenbury scored five goals as a true freshman... First career goal as a Trojan was vs. Pomona-Pitzer on Sept. 2... Scored in five different games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Hockenbury was named the 2017 Male Athlete of the Year as a senior at Mater Dei High... Swam all four years at Mater Dei and played one year of varsity water polo... Won 2016 and 2017 CIF Southern Section titles in 50-yard freestyle... An honor student... Played club for Newport Water Polo Foundation, United WPC and Recency WPC.
PERSONAL: Hockenbury is majoring in biomedical engineering and hopes to become a software developer... Parents are Bernadette and Stephen... Has three brothers, Scott, Blake and Charles, all of whom also are Trojans... Blake was on the USC men’s water polo roster in 2007 and 2008... Most thrilling sports moment was watching USC win its sixth straight NCAA championship in 2013... Enjoys computer programming, movies, video games, bodysurfing and spending time with friends in his free time... Has always wanted to go camping by himself... Hopes to travel to France, El Salvador, Spain and Peru... Born Aug. 10, 1999.
