Bio
CAREER: In his 3-year collegiate career (1 year at Auburn and 2 years at USC), he has 20 tackles, including 1 for a loss of 1 yard, while appearing in 19 games (with 2 starts).
2023: Thompson will compete for playing time in the linebacking corps as a senior in 2023.
2022: Thompson, who changed positions to inside linebacker in the spring of 2022, recorded 1 tackle (versus Washington State) while appearing in 4 games as a junior in 2022.
2021: Thompson, who transferred to USC from Auburn in the fall of 2021, saw action in 9 games (all but Oregon State, Colorado, Utah) at safety and nickelback and on special teams as a sophomore in 2021, with 2 starts (Arizona and California). Overall in 2021, he had 11 tackles, including 1 tackle for loss of 1 yard. He missed the Oregon State, Colorado and Utah games with a leg (quad) injury. HIGH SCHOOL: He made 2019 MaxPreps All-American second team, MaxPreps All-State first team, All-Area first team and Academic All-State as a senior safety at Duncanville (Tex.) High.
As a 2018 junior, he made MaxPreps Junior All-American first team and All-State second team. Duncanville played in the 2018 state Class 6A final.
He also was on the basketball and track teams at Duncanville.
PERSONAL: He is majoring in Business Administration at USC.
