HIGH SCHOOL/NATIONAL TEAM: Huston prepped at Gig Harbor High School where he swam a personal best (1:50.65) to capture the 2022 WIAA 3A state title in the 200 IM … also placed third in the 100 fly … broke five Gig Harbor school records at the 2022 state meet … earned All-American recognition for his times in the 100 fly (49.62) and 200 IM as a senior … Huston also played water polo in high school … recorded a personal best of 46.22 in the 100 free … scored the most team points among all male WIAA 3A swimmers in the 2021-22 season, and the third-most in the state … named to Gig Harbor’s Dean List four times … earned Gig Harbor’s Coaches Award four times … named team MVP twice.
