Personal: Born Jan. 17, 2000...Son of Fritz Homans and Jean Brown...Father, Fritz, swam and was team captain at the University of North Carolina where he was an NCAA All-American and Olympic Trials qualifier. Mother, Jean, rowed at Rutgers University and was an Olympic Trials qualifier. Sister, Hannah, swam and was team captain at the University of Rhode Island.
HOMANS' PERSONAL RECORDS:
- At the Pac-12 Championships, Homans finished 15th in the 200y IM (1:42.11 / 1:45.72), 13th in the 100y butterfly (46.67 / 47.00), and 8th in the 200y butterfly (1:43.19 / 1:44.95)
- At Pac-12’s, Homans placed 19th in the 200y IM (1:45.46), 13th in the 100y fly (46.57) and 7th in the 200y fly (1:43.52). He also helped USC to a fifth-place finish in the 800y free relay and participated in the 400y medley relay.
- At the Pac-12 Championships, Homans finished 14th in the 200-yard Butterfly (1:44.53/1:45.19)
- Earlier in the season, Homans won the 200y IM (1:46.90), was third in the 400y IM (3:50.79) and ninth in the 100y fly (48.51).
2020-21 SEASON:
- Homans scored twice at Pac-12’s, and provided depth in the fly and IM events.
- At NCAA’s, he swam on USC’s 800y free relay that finished 18th in 6:19.91.
- At the 2021 Pac-12 Championships, Homans was 10th in the 200y fly (1:43.90 / 1:43.92), 14th in the 100y fly (47.50 / 47.82) and 20th in the 200y IM (1:46.13 / 1:47.00).
- Named the Pac-12 Men’s Swimmer of the Week (Feb. 16) after helping the Trojans to three wins against Utah, taking the 200y back (1:43.68), 200y fly (1:44.59) and 200y IM (1:49.08).
- At the U.S. Olympic Team Swim Trials (Wave II), Homans was 22nd in the 200m fly (1:59.40), 29thin the 200m back (2:02.19) and 60th in the 100m fly (54.69).
- At the 2021 Speedo Championships in Irvine, Homans was second in the 200m fly (1:59.32) and 200m back (2:02.83) and eighth in the 100m fly (54.03)
