THIS SEASON: David Laser enters his third season of competition at USC.
2015-16 SEASON: Laser went 4-5 overall in singles as a redshirt sophomore... Went 12-7 overall in doubles, going 2-0 in dual matches... Went 6-3 with Kalman Boyd... Also paired with Henry Ji (1-3), Logan Smith (4-1) and Tanner Smith (1-0)... Reached the final of the SoCal Intercollegiate with Boyd.
2014-15 SEASON: Laser went 0-4 overall in singles as a redshirt freshman and was 0-4 in doubles playing with Henry Ji and Tanner Smith... Appeared in his first dual match on Jan. 19, falling in doubles at No. 3 with Smith... Competed at the ITA Southwest Regionals and Jack Kramer Invitational in the fall and at the Pacific Coast Doubles in the spring.
2013-14 SEASON: Laser redshirted his first season at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Laser was a three-time all-conference selection playing at New Trier High in Winnetka, Ill.... Also attended North Shore Country Day School as a freshman... A member of one team state championship and three team sectional championships... Won a sectional doubles title at the No. 1 position.
PERSONAL: David Laser is the son of Lori and Ross... Has three siblings, Michael, Jacob and Natalie... His father Ross played tennis at Michigan... His brother Michael played tennis at Dartmouth and brother Jacob plays at Brown... Enjoys fishing, wake boarding and snow skiing in his free time... Lists Michael Jordan as his biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to become a professional athlete... Hopes to travel to Europe... Would like to play tennis after graduation and then pursue a career in sports or acting... Majoring in sociology.
