THIS SEASON: Henry Ji enters his third season at USC.
2016-17: Ji won the Aztec Invitational doubles title with partner David Laser... Went 12-9 overall in singles, going 3-1 in dual matches... Went 1-0 at the No. 4 position, 1-0 at No. 5 and 1-1 at No. 6... In doubles, went 5-2 overall... Was 4-0 with Laser... Also paired with Jens Sweaney (1-1) and Laurens Verboven (0-1)... In the fall, reached the ITA Southwest Regional singles Round of 16.
2015-16 SEASON: Ji went 6-3 overall in singles as a sophomore, stepping into the No. 6 position and getting a win in a dual match vs. Grand Canyon... Reached the singles final at the National Collegiate Tennis Classic... In doubles, went 3-4 overall... Was 1-3 with David Laser and 2-1 with Jens Sweaney.
2014-15 SEASON: Ji went 0-4 overall in singles as a true freshman and was 0-3 in doubles with David Laser... Competed at the ITA Southwest Regionals and Jack Kramer Invitational in the fall and at the Pacific Coast Doubles in the spring.
HIGH SCHOOL: Ji was named the CIF San Diego Player of the Year as a senior out of Torrey Pines High in San Diego, Calif... A two-time All-CIF first team selection... Won the 2014 CIF San Diego singles championship... A member of the 2013 CIF championship team... An honor student.
PERSONAL: Henry Ji is the son of Henry and Vivian... Has two sisters, Diane and Angela... Says his most thrilling sports moment was practicing with Kei Nishikori... Enjoys playing basketball and video games and listening to music in his free time... Lists Roger Federer as his biggest sports hero... Hopes to play on the tour after graduation... Majoring in business.
