Jack Kocur enters his first season as a volunteer assistant at USC, coming to Troy from Pepperdine, where he was the head coach for six seasons.
Kocur led the Waves to an overall record of 95-78 (.549), including winning records in three of his six seasons. In 2008, Kocur was named MPSF Co-Coach of the Year as the Waves went 21-7 overall, earning a No. 2 national ranking. Prior to becoming the head coach, Kocur was an assistant coach at Pepperdine for four seasons under Terry Schroeder, the head coach of the U.S. National Team.
As a player, Kocur was a first-team All-American and a member of Pepperdine's 1997 national championship team. He also competed in more than 125 international games with the U.S. National Team.
