2021: Porter was named a Cutino Award finalist as a senior… Earned his third career spot on the All-America Second Team and was named to the All-MPSF First Team and MPSF All-Tournament Team… Appeared in 18 games, averaging 11.5 saves per game and 8.4 goals-against per game… Made double-digit saves in 12 games, including three during the MPSF and NCAA Tournaments… Selected MPSF Player of the Week twice: on Sept. 27 after a 14-save effort against Cal on Sept. 26, and on Oct. 25 after a 15-save effort against Stanford on Oct. 23… Sits at No. 4 on USC’s all-time career saves list with 671.
2020: In a season shortened and delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Porter was an ACWPC All-America First Team and All-MPSF First Team selection... Also was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Second Team... Appeared in 15 games and had double-digit saves in 10 of those outings... Averaged 11.5 saves per game and 9.2 goals-against per game... Made double-digit saves in four games during the MPSF and NCAA Tournaments... Matched his career high with a 20-save effort against Cal on Jan. 24... Named MPSF Player of the Week on Jan. 25 after that outing.
2019: Porter picked up another place n the All-America Second Team and was named to the NCAA All-Tournament First Team as a sophomore... Appeared in 16 games, averaging 11.03 saves and 9.68 goals-against per game... Selected MPSF Player of the Week on Nov. 4 after a career-high 20 saves in a win over Stanford... Those 20 saves were the most on record by a USC goalie since at least 2005... Recorded eight games with double-digit saves, including 15 in the NCAA semifinal.
2018: Porter earned All-America Second Team and All-MPSF Honorable Mention accolades as a true freshman... Appeared in 19 games, averaging 9.8 saves and 7.5 goals-against per game... Recorded double-digit saves in six games, setting his career high with 15 saves in a win over Cal on Nov. 3... Collected 12 saves in the NCAA Championship game and was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Second Team... Totalled 164 saves in his debut season... A four-time MPSF Newcomer of the Week selection.
NATIONAL TEAMS: Selected as a 2024 Olympian for Australia, Porter made his debut with the Australian senior team in 2018… Earned silver medals at the 2018 BENU Cup in Budapest and the 2018 FINA World League Intercontinental Cup… Was also a member of the Australian Junior National Team from 2014-2017.
HIGH SCHOOL: Porter won four straight league championships from 2012-2015 at St. Andrews Anglican College in Peregian Springs, Queensland… Was named 2014 and 2015 Player of the Year for his school in addition to being the 2015 St. Andrews Invitational MVP… Played four years of club for the Queensland Breakers where he averaged 13 saves a game and was voted to the AWL All-Stars Team in 2018.
PERSONAL: Porter majored in health and human sciences at USC… Parents are Stephen and Wendy… Named fellow Aussie goalie, Olympian and four-time NCAA champion at USC Joel Dennerley as his sports hero with hope to replicate his success both at USC and for his country… Hopes to one day travel to Bora Bora, New York and England… Born June 23, 1998.
