THIS SEASON: Daniel Gliner enters his third season at USC... During the fall, went 6-3 in singles, competing at the ITA Southwest Regionals and reaching the semifinals in the back draw at the Southern California Intercollegiates.
2008-09: Gliner went 11-5 overall in singles, including a 2-0 mark at the No. 6 position in dual match play... Reached the quarterfinals of the Pac-10 Invitational singles tournament and the semifinals of the Pac-10 Invitational doubles with Jason McNaughton... In doubles, went 3-6 overall playing with Matt Kecki (0-1), McNaughton (1-4) and Ben Lankenau (2-1)... During the fall, went 7-3 in singles and 2-5 in doubles... Went 2-2 at the UVA Invitational... Won all five singles matches at the UC Irvine Pre-Regional... Competed at the ITA Regionals in singles and doubles.
2007-08: Gliner went 7-6 overall in singles play, including a 2-1 mark in dual matches at No. 6... Reached the quarterfinals of the Pac-10 Invitational... Was 5-2 in doubles playing with Abdullah Magdas (3-1) and Jason McNaughton (2-1)... Reached the Pac-10 Doubles Invitational final with Magdas... During the fall, 2-2 in singles and 1-1 in doubles, competing at the ITA West Regional.
HIGH SCHOOL: Gliner is a 2007 graduate of Hebrew Academy High School in San Francisco... Was a finalist for National Winter Championships in 2002... Took third place in National Clay Courts in 2002, third place in National Winter Championships in 2004, and reached the Round of 16 in Kalamazoo in 2007... Won the National Open in 2002... Was ranked 19 in USTA 16s... Voted School Comedian.
PERSONAL: Daniel Gliner was born on February 28, 1990 in San Francisco... Son of Tatiana and Victor Gliner... Has one brother, Ben, and one sister, Julia...
