Laura Williams enters her first season at USC as a true freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2024 graduate of St. Paul VI Catholic High in Chantilly, Va., was the top-ranked player out of Virginia... Named conference player of the year and first team All-Met... Scored over 1,000 points in her career... Earned First Team All-State honors... Playing club for Fairfax Stars, averaged 11.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game with at the 2023 summer Nike EYBL circuit... An honor student.
PERSONAL
Laura Beatrice Williams was born Dec. 19, 2005 in Tampa, Fla.... The daughter of Raunda and Doug Williams... Has one sibling, Lee... Her father played collegiate football at Grambling State and in the NFL, where he would become the first Black quarterback to start and win a Super Bowl while with the Washington Redskins... He also was named MVP of Super Bowl XXII in 1988... Her mother also attended Grambling State, where she was a scholarship golfer and dancer... Enjoys reading in her free time... Lists A'ja Wilson as her biggest sports hero... Hopes to travel to Jamaica... Would like to play professionally after graduation... Majoring in psychology and hopes to pursue a career as a sports psychologist.
