In her only season with the Women of Troy, as a graduate student, Norton paired exclusively with Eve Ettinger and produced a 32-6 overall record with a 25-2 mark at the No. 3 position in duals… helped lead the Trojans to their first-ever team championship… finished with 318 kills, 270 digs, and 41 service aces… advanced to the semifinals for the USC Tournament and the quarterfinals of the Queen of the Beach Challenge Gold Bracket… advanced to the quarterfinals of the USAV Beach Collegiate Challenge silver bracket and to the semifinals of the Pac-12 Invitational… provided the clinching point in 10 of USC’s 28 victories including a three-set victory over No. 3 Pepperdine to seal the dual victory on March 24.
2013 (at UCLA)
As a senior on UCLA’s inaugural sand volleyball team, Norton partnered with Kelly Reeves at the top court and appeared in the 16-team AVCA Pairs Championship… finished with an 11-11 overall record and was runner-up at the USC tournament and third at the USAV Beach Collegiate Challenge.
SAND EXPERIENCE
Norton was a member of the USA Beach U23 Travel Team for the 2013 FIVB World Championships (Myslowice, Poland)… invited to the 2014 USA Beach U26 Training Team.
INDOOR VOLLEYBALL/UCLA
Norton was a member of UCLA’s indoor women’s volleyball team as an outside hitter from 2010-12… helped the Bruins capture the 2011 NCAA Championship… played in three matches during her senior season (2013) before suffering an ACL injury that sidelined her for the rest of the season… completed her indoor career with 77 matches, 224 sets, and 18 starts… had 37 kills (0.17 kps), 401 digs (1.79 dps), and 25 career service aces… scored a career-high 11 kills (11.5 points) against Quinnipiac (Aug. 26, 2011), and had a career-high 18 digs against Stanford (Oct. 12, 2012)… a two-time Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention selection (2011, 2012).
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
Norton prepped at Harvard-Westlake HS in North Hollywood, Calif., under head coach Adam Black… lettered in both volleyball and track… was a three-time Mission League MVP… named 2010 All-Area Player of the Year as a senior… 2009 and 2010 All-Area and All-CIF first team selection… named tournament MVP after guiding Wolverines to 2007 California state title… chosen as a State Division III Athlete of the Year finalist as a sophomore… tabbed a Top 25 Sophomore and Senior Ace by PrepVolleyball.com… played for Sunshine Volleyball Club… placed fifth in the 2008 and 2009 Junior Olympics.

Megan Katherine Norton was born on Dec. 4, 1991, in Santa Monica, Calif.… parents are Suzanne and Richard Norton… has two brothers, Michael and Patrick… enjoys paddle boarding, reading, and hiking in her spare time… favorite TV shows are Scandal, Shark Tank, and Dexter… hopes to pursue a career in sports and entertainment public relations… holds a degree in political science from UCLA (’14)… enrolled in USC Annenberg’s strategic public relations graduate program.
