Hilary Bowen is in her second season (2014) as USC[apos]s offensive coordinator and assistant coach. She was previously an assistant at Mount St. Mary[apos]s (Maryland) in 2011 where she helped The Mount advance to the Northeast Conference Tournament championship game.
A prolific attacker, Bowen was a four-year letterwinner at Northwestern (2006-09) where she helped the Wildcats to NCAA titles in each of her four seasons on campus. During her time as a player, NU lost just three games to produce an 85-3 overall record. Bowen was chosen for IWLCA All-America honors in each of her final three seasons and was named MVP of the 2007 and 2008 NCAA Tournaments and a member of the 2009 NCAA All-Tournament team.
Bowen ended her career in third place on Northwestern[apos]s all-time lists for points (299) and goals (219), and was fifth in assists (80). She also set the Wildcats[apos] single-season record for goals with 81 in 2008. She received American Lacrosse Conference all-league first-team honors in both 2007 and 2008. Bowen was a teammate of USC head coach Lindsey Munday[apos]s in 2006 before Munday became a Northwestern assistant coach over the next four seasons.
For her work in the classroom, Bowen was named the CoSIDA Women[apos]s At-Large Academic All-American of the Year in 2009, and was a first-team Academic All-American in 2008 and 2009. She was also a three-time Big Ten Conference All-Academic selection in her final three seasons. Bowen received Dean[apos]s List distinction at Northwestern every quarter and graduated from NU in 2009 with a bachelor[apos]s degree in human development and psychological services.
Bowen currently resides in Redondo Beach, Calif.
