Darcy Couch joined the USC sports information office in 2005, first as an assistant SID and later as an associate SID. In October 2021, she became assistant athletic director for USC's Sports Brands and Communications department, leading the non-football side of the office.
Couch currently is the primary media contact for USC women’s basketball, men’s and women’s water polo and women's rowing. She also has served as the primary contact for women's soccer and men's and women's tennis at USC.
She also served as sport administrator for the USC men's and women's water polo program from August 2018 to January 2021.
Couch came to USC after spending a year (2004-05) as the assistant director of media relations at the Big West Conference and 2004 as the assistant media director at USA Water Polo. She was a sportswriter for the Contra Costa Times for three years (2000-03).
Couch received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Colorado in 2000 and a master’s degree in applied psychology from USC in 2018.
