Julia Henning joined the athletic department in August 2025 as a Graduate Assistant for Sports Brands and Communications. She currently serves as the primary contact for men’s and women’s track and field and cross country.
Henning comes to USC after a year-long assistantship at UC Santa Barbara where she served as the primary contact for men’s and women’s tennis. During her time with the Gauchos, she assisted the communications and gameday duties for men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball and basketball including maintaining scores and stats, producing game notes and creating live score updates for social media channels.
During her time as an undergraduate at Northeastern University, Henning served as a social media ambassador for the Office of External Communications. In this role, she produced short-form content primarily focused on campus life and the Northeastern hockey teams. In addition to her co-op with UC Santa Barbara, she traveled to Guatemala for a four-month social media and communications co-op with the Education for the Children Foundation.
Henning earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science from Northeastern University in May 2025. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
