Wes Foltz
- Title:
- Assistant Coach
Wes Foltz, a coach with major college and club coaching experience, is in his second year as an assistant coach for the Trojans.
Foltz, from Chapel Hill, N.C., graduated from Towson with a degree in business administration. A multi-event conference finalist at Towson, he joins USC's staff after a brief stint as an assistant coach under Salo's highly successful Trojan Swim Club. Prior to his move to Southern California, he served two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at North Carolina State, where he worked primarily with the distance free and IM groups, as well as the sprint group. Along with his responsibilities with the Wolfpack, he was the lead and assistant coach for two different training groups at the Marlins of Raleigh swim team in Raleigh, N.C.
Said USC Head Coach Dave Salo: "Wes comes to USC from an experience at North Carolina State that will prepare him as well as anyone to make an impact in our efforts to win the NCAA Championship. N.C. State was one of the most improved programs in the country over the past three years, and Wes was on the ground floor of that cultural change under Braden Holloway. Wes will focus his attention to on-deck duties. Since joining my Trojan Swim Club staff, our athletes have been impressed by his coaching skills and attention to detail and are eager to continue working with him. Wes will also focus attention on our classroom performance, where USC continues to rank among the top teams in the country."
