THIS SEASON: Amber Harper enters her third season at USC... Went 1-2 in singles during the fall, playing at the ITA West Regionals.
2007: Harper did not compete in dual matches... Went 1-1 in singles during the fall and 3-1 in doubles playing with Katja Decker-Sadowski, reaching the Fullerton Collegiate doubles semifinals.
2006: Harper went 1-1 in singles at the ITA Western Regional and was 0-1 in doubles during the fall but did not compete in spring 2006.
HIGH SCHOOL: Harper is a 2005 graduate of Harvard-Westlake High... A three-year letterwinner... A 2004 CIF Southern Section Individuals Champion in Doubles... Named 2004 L.A. Daily News Doubles Player of the Year... A member of the All-Mission League for singles in 2001... 2004 Mission League MVP in doubles... In 2004 went undefeated for the season in doubles play.
PERSONAL: Amber Nicole Harper was born on February 13, 1987, in Santa Monica, Calif.... The daughter of Cleotha and Cheryll Harper, she has two sisters, Brittney and Tiffany... Lists Andre Agassi as her biggest sports hero because she finds his drive and dedication amazing... Her most thrilling moment in sports was winning CIF after returning from elbow surgery... Chose to attend USC because she loves living in Los Angeles and it had the business program she wanted... A business major.
