2018-19 SEASON: Rianna Valdes enters her senior season at USC.
2017-18 SEASON: Rianna Valdes concluded her junior season ranked No. 105 in the nation in singles and No. 58 in the nation in doubles with her partner, Angela Kulikov...Earned recognition as an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention…Named an ITA Scholar Athlete and was a member of USC’s ITA All-Academic Team…Selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team…Finished the season 14-7 in singles and 8-5 in dual matches...Played primarily in the No. 2 position (4-3)...Also played at No. 3 (4-1) and No. 4 (0-1)...Clinched three matches for USC against California in February, Oregon in March and Colorado in April...In doubles, went 13-11 overall and 8-9 in dual matches with partner Angela Kulikov...Played at the No. 1 position (8-9)...Also paired with Alexa Corcoleotes (1-1) and Gabby Smith (1-1)...In the Fall, Valdes competed in the ITA All-American Championships, ITA Southwest Regionals and was undefeated in the Roberta Alison Fall Classic.
2016-17 SEASON: Valdes finished her sophomore campaign ranked No. 41 in the nation in doubles with her partner, former Trojan Jessica Failla…Selected to the All-Pac-12 Academic Second Team and was a member of USC’s ITA All-Academic Team…Won Pac-12 Player o the Week on March 6 for the first time in her career after clinching the upset over No. 4 Michigan…Had two other clinchers versus Rice and San Diego State…Went 11-12 overall in singles and 8-10 in dual matches…Played primarily in the No. 3 position (5-7)…Also competed in the No. 2 position (0-1), No. 4 (2-2) and No. 5 (1-0)…In doubles, went 13-8 overall and 7-6 in dual matches with partner Jessica Failla…Played primarily at the No. 1 slot (5-3), but also played at No. 2 (2-3)…Also partnered with Angela Kulikov (1-0) and Madison Westby (1-1)…In the Fall, Valdes competed at the UNLV Invitational and the ITA Southwest Regionals…Entered the season ranked No. 83 in the nation in singles.
2015-16 SEASON: Valdes finished her freshman season ranked No. 116 in the nation in singles…Went 15-10 overall in singles, going 7-6 in dual matches…Played primarily in the No. 6 position (7-3)…Also competed at No. 5 (0-3)…Had the clinching win in one dual match (Oregon)…In doubles, went 15-4 overall with a 5-4 mark in dual matches…Was 9-0 both overall and in dual matches with Jessica Failla…Also went 5-3 overall and 2-1 in dual matches with Madison Westby and 1-1 overall with Giuliana Olmos…In the fall, competed in the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships, ITA Southwest Regionals, Jack Kramer Invitational and the National Collegiate Tennis Classic…Entered her sophomore season ranked No. 31 in the nation in doubles in ITA pre-season rankings.
HIGH SCHOOL: Valdes attended Allendale Academy... Was ranked in the top 500 in the WTA... Best victories were wins over Marcela Zacarias and #179 WTA Patricia Tig... At the junior level, recorded wins over Alexa Graham and top-10 World Junior Fanny Stollar.
