Garrett Geiger is in his first season (2023) as an assistant coach for the Women of Troy. He previously served as a practice player with the program.
This is Geiger’s first appointment as a coach at the collegiate level. He previously served as a camp coach in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District at his alma mater Esperanza High School during the summer of 2019; and has served as a camp coach for USC’s summer volleyball camps program.
Geiger was a member of the Hawai’i men’s volleyball team as an outside hitter in 2020 and earned UH Scholar-Athlete recognition. He spent one year on the islands in the philosophy program at the university. Prior to UH, Geiger played for Fullerton College where he earned first-team All-CCCAA (California Community College Athletic Association) honors in 2019 and was a recipient of the Hornet Scholar Award.
A native of Southern California, Geiger is a 2017 graduate of Esperanza HS in Anaheim, Calif., where he earned letters in volleyball and basketball. He won the 2014 CIF volleyball championship and the 2017 CIF basketball championship with his respective squads. Geiger played for the Balboa Bay Volleyball Club for two years.
After concluding his collegiate athletic career, Geiger attended USC for two years where he earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy in 2023.
