THIS SEASON: A 2012 senior, Ella Kidron has proven to be an effective dual-meet performer as she provides depth in the breaststroke and freestyle.
2011: Kidron raced in three events at the 2011 Pac-10 Championships as a junior, taking 17th in the 100y breast (1:03.81), 19th in the 200y breast (2:18.16) and 50th in the 200y IM (2:13.89) ... She earned Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention honors for the second year in a row.
2010: Kidron competed in three events at the 2010 Pac-10 Championships as a sophomore, taking 19th in the 100y breast (1:03.76), 20th in the 200y breast (2:18.76) and 47th in the 200y IM (2:10.12) ... She earned Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention honors.
2009: Kidron reached a pair of consolation finals as a freshman at the 2009 Pac-10 Championships, finishing 15th in the 200y breast (2:17.27) and 16th in the 100y breast (1:03.81). She was also 48th in the 200y IM.
HIGH SCHOOL: Kidron prepped at Westridge High in Pasadena, Calif. She competed four years in swimming and two in rowing ... She was the 2008 Prep League MVP and won titles in the 100y breast and 200y IM.
CLUB: Rose Bowl Aquatics.
PERSONAL: She was born on Sept. 14, 1990 ... She is majoring in east Asian languages and culture ... Studied dance and ballet for 10 years and has been swimming for only two ... Lists Walter Payton as biggest sports hero.
