Tiffany Joh, an 11-year LPGA Tour pro and four-time NCAA All-American with collegiate coaching experience, was promoted to Associate Head Coach on June 27, 2023, ahead of her second year on the USC Women's Golf Team's staff. She was hired as an assistant coach with the Trojans on June 23, 2022.
In her first year with USC in 2022-23, Joh worked with Head Coach Justin Silverstein to help lead the Trojans to an NCAA Championships runner-up finish as well as a Pac-12 title. The 2023 squad included a pair of WGCA All-American honorable mention picks in sophomore Amari Avery and freshman Catherine Park. Park tied for second in the NCAA Championships stroke play, finishing one shot out of first. Avery, Park and sophomore Xin (Cindy) Kou all earned All-Pac-12 first team honors while junior Brianna Navarrosa was an honorable mention selection.
Joh came to USC following a one-year stint as the assistant coach at Cal State San Marcos, where the school won its third straight California Collegiate Athletic Association title. Joh helped redshirt sophomore Breann Horn earn WGCA Division II All-American first team honors and CCAA Player of the Year honors while Cougar golfers also earned CCAA Freshman and Newcomer of the Year accolades.
She joined San Marcos State after retiring from a successful LPGA career (2011-2021) that saw her total nearly $1.5 million in career earnings.
Joh, who received the Heather Farr Perseverance Award from the LPGA in 2017, had six career LPGA Top 10 finishes highlighted by a career-best second at the Navistar LPGA Classic in 2011 and a tie for third at the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic in 2019. She also finished her career with 20 top 20 results.
A 2009 UCLA graduate with a degree in communication, Joh was the program's first four-time All-American during a stellar career as a Bruin between 2006-2009. She was a WGCA two-time All-American first teamer in 2006 and 2008 while earning second team honors in 2007 and honorable mention in 2009.
She was the 2008 Pac-12 Golfer of the Year, the 2006 Pac-12 Newcomer of the Year, earned All-Pac-12 first team honors three years (2006-08) and was a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic selection (2007-09).
Joh had 24 Top 10 finishes at UCLA (tied for second most in school history), including two wins, and posted a career-best stroke average of 71.85 as a 2008 junior. She tied for first at the 2008 NCAA Championships at 1-under 287 before losing on the first playoff hole. It was her 10th top 10 finish in 2008, tied for the most ever in a season at UCLA.
Joh was fifth at the 2007 NCAA Championships and helped UCLA win the 2006 Pac-12 title, tying for third. Her 22 career rounds in the 60s are among UCLA's all-time top 5 while her career stroke average (72.98) is among UCLA's career top 10.
Her amateur career was highlighted by a pair of U.S. Amateur Public Links titles in 2006 and 2008 while helping the 2008 U.S. Curtis Cup team to a victory with a 2-1-1 record.
