USC Women's Golf Wins Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

SEATTLE, WASH. - All five Trojan golfers placed in the top-10 as the USC women's golf team ran away from the field to capture its first tournament win this season at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Seattle, Wash., on Wednesday (Oct. 13).
USC shot a blistering 878 (the Trojan's lowest 54-hole total since shooting 860 at the 1993 NCAA West Regional) to finish 21 strokes ahead of second-place Pepperdine (899), followed by Stanford (903), Tulsa (928) and New Mexico (931).
Individually for the Trojans, sophomore Leila Chartrand shot a 220 (including a final round 69) to finish fourth, followed by freshmen Mikaela Parmlid and Candie Kung, who each shot 222 to tie for fifth place. Junior Nicole Dalkas finished in seventh (223), while senior Linda Ishii finished in ninth (226).
Pepperdine's Tamie Durdin shot a 208 to win the individual title, followed by Stacy Prammanasudh of Tulsa (215) and Stephanie Keever of Stanford (218).
The Women of Troy travel to Chicago, Ill., this week (Oct. 14-17) to take part in the Notre Dame Alumni match and fundraiser at the Knollwood Club on the north shore.
