LOS ANGELES -- Eli Fairfield had 20 kills to lead the No. 10-ranked USC men's volleyball team to a 15-5, 15-3, 15-7 non-conference win over La Verne on Wednesday (March 24) at USC's North Gym in the Trojans' final regular season home match.

USC improved to 11-8 overall, while La Verne--ranked No. 3 in the Division III poll--fell to 8-9.

For La Verne, Alex Lienert had 12 kills. The Trojans outhit La Verne, .551 to .267. USC, in the hunt for a berth in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation post-season tournament in late April, finishes its regular season with 6 road MPSF matches, starting this Saturday (March 27) at No. 1 Long Beach State.
