The No. 14 USC men's volleyball team's six-match winning streak came to a halt on Tuesday night as No. 1 Pepperdine won convincingly, 15-10, 15-6, 15-8, in Malibu.
The Trojans (8-10, 4-9 MPSF) hit just .137 compared to .394 for the Waves (14-1, 11-1).
Freshman outside hitter Ryan Thurlow was the only Trojan to reach double-figures in kills, but he only had 10 and hit .111. The Trojans also had a season-low five blocks. Pepperdine was led by George Roumain's 21 kills.
The Trojans will try to rebound this weekend (March 20-21) at the Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne Spring Classic, where they'll play Ball State and host IPFW.
