Men's Volleyball Team Breezes by UC Santa Cruz.

LOS ANGELES -Craig Dennis had 10 kills to lead the No. 11-ranked USC men's volleyball team to a 15-1, 15-4, 15-10 non-conference win over UC Santa Cruz on Friday (Jan. 29) in USC's North Gym.
The match lasted just over an hour, including 15 minutes for each of the first 2 games. The Trojans jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first game.
USC improved to 3-1 overall, while UC Santa Cruz fell to 0-2.
Will Nelson added 9 kills for the Trojans, while Tony Knopp had 8 kills and 8 blocks.
Jonny Beals-Nesmith and Scott Tucker paced the Banana Slugs with 7 kills each.
USC hosts 3 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation matches next week, against UC Irvine on Feb. 2, No. 14 Pacific on Feb. 5 and No. 8 Stanford on Feb. 6, all at 7 p.m. in the North Gym.
