
Men's Tennis Snaps Wildcat Win Streak

TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona's four match win streak was snapped today as 19th-ranked USC earned a 5-2 victory over the Wildcats today in Tucson. The Trojans improve to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in the Pac-10, while Arizona falls to 7-4 and 1-3 in conference play.
USC swept the first two doubles matches, 8-4 and 8-1, at the No. 1 and 2 positions. The Wildcats claimed the victory at No. 3 as Alex Aybar and Brian Jackson defeated USC's Parker Collins and Andrew Park, 9-7.
With a 1-0 lead after the doubles matches, USC surrendered only two points with losses at the No. 1 and No. 6 spots. Among Troy's victories, freshman Daniel Langre posted his seventh-straight win, 6-2, 6-4, over Arizona's Alex Brown at No. 5. Park halted his own four-game losing streak by defeating Michel Stopa, 6-3, 7-6 (4), at No. 3.
The Trojans return to action tomorrow when they play No. 34 Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz. The match is scheduled to begin at noon.
