Hartley, Vincent Sweep First Day Of Trojan Diving Invite

Two-time 2002 NCAA individual diving champion Blythe Hartley won the 1-meter springboard and redshirt sophomore Ray Vincent won the 3-meter on the first day of the Trojan Diving Invitational on Thursday (Nov. 9) at the McDonald's Swim Stadium on the USC campus.
Hartley, a sophomore, won the 1-meter by a large margin, finishing with 659.00. Stanford's Ashlee Rosenthal was second (528.05) and UCLA's Regan Gosnell (487.55) was third. USC freshman Lindsay Draper was sixth on 1-meter with 448.60.
Vincent, who won the 3-meter springboard at Texas last week, did the same on Thursday with a winning total of 518.95. Stanford teammates Adam Peterson (477.00) and Gavin Olmstead (450.85) were second and third, respectively.
Friday's events will feature women's 3-meter springboard and men's 1-meter springboard. Saturday's events include men's and women's platform. Competition begins at 10 a.m. each day.
